District Receives Fourth Consecutive Certificate of Excellence Award
Wayne Township Public School District received its fourth consecutive Certificate of Excellence Award in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials International for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2016.  Please click here for full Press Release.

Michael Rewick Appointed as Principal of Wayne Hills High School
The Wayne Township Board of Education approved the appointment of Mr. Michael Rewick as Principal of Wayne Hills High School effective July 1, 2017.  Mr. Rewick has been a teacher and administrator in the Wayne District for 17 years.  He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and possesses a Masters in Educational Technology and Educational Leadership from St. Elizabeth’s University.  He began his career at Wayne Valley as a History teacher and has served the last 12 years as an administrator at Wayne Valley and as both the Assistant Principal and Interim Principal at Wayne Hills. 2017 WEF Summer Camp Registration
The Wayne Education Foundation is pleased to offer their SUMMER CAMPS again this year.  They have many exciting camp selections for all ages!  All of the instructors are certified teachers which offers your child a higher quality camp experience.  The camp will be held the weeks of July 10-14, 17-21, and 24-28.  Click here to visit the WEF webpage to download copies of the camp brochure and registration form.

Randall Carter will recognize Food Allergy awareness week from May 15th - 19th

Throughout the week the students will be learning about food allergies and how to help keep their friends with allergies safe through:

          # Daily announcements about allergies

          # ”What would you do?” scavenger hunts

          # Posters about food allergies

          # Videos and activities in class

          # Teal Tuesday - wear teal to show support for students with food allergies

Maker Space Night
 Maker Space Night is sponsored by the Elementary Library Media Specialists.  Students in  grades 4 and 5 are invited to participate in a special evening of engineering!  Selected via a  lottery system, 25 students, accompanied by an adult, will attend the event at Randall Carter Elementary School, the evening of Friday, March 24, 2017 at 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm.  Please click here for more important details.
Grade Reporting Update for Parents

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Due to the impending snow storm, we will be providing teachers with a few extra days to enter student grades and progress report information.  Please be aware that Parent Access to view student reports will now open at 3 p.m. on March 22nd.  Many thanks for your understanding.

Randall Carter January Food Pantry Collection

During the month of January, the Randall Carter will assist the Wayne Council of PTOs to collect much needed items for the food bank they run out of Wayne Hills High School.  This is the only time we collect for this community organization.  Each grade will be asked to donate specific items  (please see the flyer below).
Boxes will be placed inside the school’s front door for donation drop-offs.  We thank you in advance for your generosity!

​During parent teacher conferences one of the most important items your teacher will want to discuss is their current reading level.  Your child's independent level informs you of your child’s “just right’ reading level, a level where your child can read comfortably with fluency and understanding.  Please click the link below to access this document to learn more about the types of books and reading traits that fit within each level.

Back To School Night Presentation and Health Reminders

Thank you to all of our families and community members for your attendance and participation in our annual Back to School Night on September 20th.  It was a wonderful night for teachers to share all of the exiting things going on here at Randall Carter Elementary School and a chance for you to see all of the upgrades we made to our facilities over the summer to better service our students!
